Small volumes of fat transfer performed sequentially on 2 or 3 separate occasions at 4 to 5 month intervals have proven to be the ideal for long term survival. Fine canulas are used to harvest the fine fat of approximately 3mm size, washed then transferred in multiple cylindrical tunnels to augment the shape of the recipient site e.g. lips, cheeks, chins, nose labial folds, forehead wrinkles, marionette lines. Best survival is with three fat transfers.
